13,000 volunteers will be recruited to join the Commonwealth Collective and help deliver one of the biggest sporting events of the year. Most volunteer roles require no formal experience or qualifications, full training is provided. The roles include drivers, first-aiders, meet-and-greeters, everything to help create a unique experience across the entire field.

The 13,000 volunteers who make up the Commonwealth Collective will receive approximately 250,000 hours of training and a million-hour volunteer time to complete. Applicants must be 18 years of age as on 1 January 2022 and they can select the preferred areas of interest which include event services, accreditation, transport, sports and media.
